'SHE OF THE SEASONS' an eco-creativity group based at Snapdragons. Twenty women each year will produce extraordinary folk-inspired wild-making projects for self-care including growing plant-remedies, natural perfume making, storytelling, dancing & singing, willow work and community wassail. This project explores the seasons of nature and the Celtic calendar through the seasons of a woman's life. Our work focuses on helping women reconnect to a new identity. To forge a stronger concept of self outside of roles like caregiving, work or the relentless demands of beauty standards enforced by the patriarchy.

Woodcraft Folk is a UK-wide, volunteer-run youth movement founded in 1925. It’s co-educational and open to everyone, and it grew as a more co-operative, democratic alternative to the Scouts, with a strong focus on peace, equality, friendship, and looking after the planet.
Children and young people meet weekly in local groups for games, crafts, singing, debates and outdoor skills, and they also go on camps. The idea is that they learn about the world (environment, fairness, co-operation) through doing things together, rather than through lectures. Groups are organised by age, from little ones up to young adults.
Snapdragons is the home of Plymouth Woodcraft folk. To find out more visit out Plymouth Woodcraft folk page here.
